As a leading retailer of ethical pet care products and services, Pets Corner operates over 150 stores across the UK, with its Distribution Centre serving as the hub for logistics and operations. Committed to sustainability and Net Zero, the company sought a solution that would significantly reduce its carbon footprint while driving long-term energy savings.
To support Pets Corner’s ESG strategy and the Board’s commitment to Net Zero, we installed a 250kW Solar PV system with Battery Storage, designed to supply 70% of the site’s annual energy needs. This funded, cost-neutral solution ensures that from Day 1, the energy savings generated cover the system’s costs, making it a high-impact, risk-free investment.
The results speak for themselves – over its 25-year lifespan, the system will deliver cumulative savings of £1.4m, alongside drastic reductions in carbon emissions. This project not only enhances operational efficiency but also reinforces Pets Corner’s leadership in sustainable business practices.
